SAFE AND RESPONSIBLE AI FOR FAMILIES: FREE 75-MINUTE ONLINE SESSION FROM SPARK! IMAGINATION PROJECT SEPTEMBER 29
Spark! Imagination Project, with the support of the Virginia Space Grant Consortium, is organizing a free 75-minute online session dedicated to the safe and responsible use of AI for families and caregivers. 🛡️ The goal of the event is to provide key knowledge about modern AI technologies, understand their advantages and potential threats, and lay the foundation for critical thinking in children.
The webinar program includes an overview of the basic concepts of artificial intelligence, analysis of cases of algorithmic bias, and methods for creating and controlling digital footprints. Participants will look at practical examples of AI applications in education and extracurricular projects. Special attention will be paid to privacy protection strategies and assessing the age appropriateness of AI applications, as well as discussing the ethical aspects of using technology. Participants will learn effective ways to manage screen time and receive recommendations for safe online practices. 📖
Interactive exercises and live discussions with experts in AI and pedagogy will help participants develop their own checklist for applying the knowledge they have gained in their daily family and work environments. This is especially relevant for companies that seek to support employees with children and foster a corporate culture focused on digital literacy.
The online session will take place on September 29 at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom. Participation is free with prior registration. ⏰ Space is limited, so we recommend registering in advance to get access to all the teaching materials.
